Ipswich Summer Band Concerts

Come enjoy music by Bach, Mancini, The Beatles and more, performed by The Ipswich Summer Band in a series of concerts. The Ipswich Summer Band is made up of talented musicians of all ages and is conducted by Nalani Fujiwara. Guest conductors include Chris Reif, Joe Janack, and Gordon Williams. Enjoy hearing classic band repertoire, Broadway medleys, Dixieland, and Big Band played by musicians who love to make music for the joy of others. Concerts will take place on Wed. July 23 at Cable Gardens (126 County Rd. Ipswich); Sun. July 27 at 5 PM on the Ipswich Green, by the Hall-Haskell House, 36 Main St., Ipswich; and on Wed. July 30 at the Ipswich Performing Arts Center, 134 High St., Ipswich. Admission is FREE of charge. This concert series was made possible by a grant from the Ipswich Cultural Council. Gershwin/ Porter - A Musical Revue at Marblehead

Marblehead Little Theatre producers Henry Dembowski and Dayle Persons announce the 6th annual summer show: Gershwin/Porter - Who Could Ask For Anything More? Dont miss Cole Porter and George Gershwin's classic songs including: Someone to Watch Over Me, I Got Rhythm, Anything Goes, and more! Show dates and times are July 25th - 27th, and 31st through August 3rd at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees on July 27th and August 3rd at 2 pm. The opening night performance will feature a recepion with refreshments immediately following the show. Ticket price for opening night is $33all other performances are $23. Midcoast Actors' Studio Summer Musical: 'NUNSENSE"

Midcoast Actors’ Studio presents NUNSENSE, the hilarious musical spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a talent show. Nunsense runs August 1-10 at the UU Church in Belfast. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:00 p.m., and Sundays at 3:00. Festival By The Sea

On Saturday, August 2nd,
Manchester's celebration of local art, music and food, Festival by the Sea, returns to downtown. The popular annual event will feature over 75 artists ranging from painters to jewelers and artisans, and it will stretch from Town Hall Common throughout town into Masconomo Park. There will be a variety of food from local restaurants and food trucks as well as a beer garden featuring Cape Ann Brewing’s signature ale, Fisherman’s Brew. On the Masconomo Park bandstand, live music will extend throughout the day with a 6pm headlining performance by Caitlin Canty. The Magic of Peter Pan comes to Annisquam!

When Tinker Bell and Peter Pan fly throught he Darling children's window, life suddenly takes a magical turn. Pirates, mermaids, exotic animals, the Lost Boys, Indians, and of course, Captain Hook, fill Neverland with exciting adventures that include flying! Peter Pan is a musical adaptation of J. M. Barrie's 1904 play Peter pan, a show that has enjoyed several revivals on Broadway and beyond! Tickets are $32 for reserved seating and $16 for general admission. Gloucester Blues Festival

Now in its third year, this annual event has brought blues lovers from far and wide to Gloucester each August since 2012.  Come see some of the nation's finest blues performers play at the Gloucester Blues stage! This year, the list of performers includes Willie J. Laws, Sugar Ray & the Bluetones, Biscut 
Miller, Debbie Davies, Victor Wainwrite, Tinsley Ellis, and Ronnie Baker Brooks. Located right on the harbor at beautiful Cressey's Beach, the event will have a beer garden and outstanding food vendors! Make sure to bring your own chars of blankets, but keep pets at home! 35th Annual Rockport Acoustic Music Festival

Rockport Jazz Festival

The 3rd Annual Rockport Jazz Festival will feature a broad range of great jazz performances! From the vocal styling of Cyrille Aimee and innovative jazz rhythms of drummer Ali Jackson, to the Afro-Cuban inspired sounds of pianist Donal Fox and established jazz masters of Christian McBride and Kenny Barron, there is something for all types of jazz lovers! Salem Jazz and Soul Festival

The 8th annual Salem Jazz and Soul Festival will take place at historic
 Salem Willows from 11 a.m. to 7:15 p.m the weekend of Aug. 16-17, 2014. The event is FREE! The two-day festival will include a 21-plus beer garden, an artisan’s fair, a kids’ tent, free music-education classes and more. The festival is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization that produces free concerts and raises money for music education causes on the North Shore. Check salemjazzsoul.org for more information.
