Northshoremen Barbershop Chorus – Free Singing Lessons

The Northshoremen Barbershop Chorus will offer free singing lessons to men who want to learn to sing better and have fun.  The lessons will focus on proper vocal production, breathing techniques and basic performance skills.  The 45 minute lesson will take place at 7pm on each Wednesday night in September beginning on the 19th through October 3rd at the Italian Community Center, 302 Rantoul Street, Beverly.  For more information please call 866-727-4988 or email at norshoremenchorus@gmail.com

The Ipswich Museum’s spectacular new summer exhibit, called “Focusing on Ipswich,” opens on June 22 and runs through October. More than two dozen local photographers were asked to select a single work that captures an aspect of the town’s changeable personality, from salt marsh to private gardens. The show takes place at the Heard House, 54 So. Main St., Ipswich. Admission is free for Ipswich Museum members, $10 for nonmembers. Information: 978-356-2811, www.ipswichmuseum.org. 13th annual Wicked Half Marathon in Salem, MA

The 13th annual Wicked Half Marathon is Saturday, September 22nd at 7am in Salem, MA. The race starts at Salem Willows at the soccer field across from Fort Avenue, and makes its way to Marblehead Neck before turning around. There’s an early bird start at 6am. The Wildcat 5K Trail Run, Walk & Wag in Boxford

The Wildcat 5K Trail Run, Walk & Wag is Saturday, September 22nd at the Danvers YMCA Stile Pond Camp, 4a Stiles Pond Rd, Boxford. A kids’ 1K fun run will start at 9am, followed by the 5K at 10am. Walkers and those with dogs will start at the back of the 5K pack. The post-race party includes a chili fest and music.
