ENERGY MATTERS TIPS OF THE WEEK:

Honor your mind, body, and spirit as a whole.  You are a whole person that consists of mind, body and spirit going through life, craving to feel balanced.  If areas of your life are off balance (such as career, relationships, finances, social life, home environment, education and physical activity), your body will not thrive. Learn to listen to your body, and take the time necessary to reclaim your balance.  If you continue plodding through the day on auto-pilot, ignoring the signals your body gives you, then you’ll end up sacrificing your health and well-being.  Physical signals of stress and off-balance are headaches, poor digestion, constipation, anxiety, depression, increased/decreased appetite, and other symptoms.  Discover the problem – don’t ignore it -- or it will develop into bigger health problems.  When you take care of your entire body as a whole first, you will be stronger and more capable of helping others in your life.

Take charge of your own health.   Ensure you are getting proper nutrition and rest. Stop smoking (or at least cut down) and limit alcohol consumption. Start a fitness program – don’t be a couch potato!

Drink a lot of pure water.  With your body being 60% water, water is still the best beverage to hydrate yourself with.   Water is the main component of your bodily fluids, including blood, urine, lymph, mucous membranes, digestive juices and sweat.

Beacon Wellness Tip of the week:

Massage is more than just relaxation. Massage therapy improves circulation, eliminates toxins and relieves muscle tension. This is especially helpful after a tough workout or long distance run.
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a helpful way to reduce back and leg strain. www.beaconwellnesscenter.com
