The Mugford Street Players announce an all-new production of I HATE HAMLET, Paul Rudnick’s hilarious comedy, coming to Marblehead Little Theatre, directed by John Fogle, with a gala opening night performance on Friday January 10. Presented by The Mugford Street Players, the show will play for three weeks, Fridays through Sundays until January 24th. Tickets are available at www.mltlive.com/tickets and at Arnould Gallery in Marblehead.

I HATE HAMLET is set in famous actor John Barrymore’s old apartment in New York City, the play follows successful television actor Andrew Rally as he struggles with taking on the dream role of Hamlet…dealing with a girlfriend who is keeping a firm grip on her chastity…and playing host to the ghost of John Barrymore, who, clothed as Hamlet, has returned to the living for the sole purpose of convincing Rally to play the part. I HATE HAMLET was originally produced on Broadway in 1991 with Nicol Williamson in the role of John Barrymore.

In April 2020, MSP will be returning to the Gloucester Stage Company with a production of Arthur Miller’s classic drama A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, also directed by Fogle.
